Sam has enjoyed a successful career as a Commercial lawyer for the majority of his working life. Sam now handles probate, trusts and residential property work.

Sam became the President of Pontypridd RFC in 1974 and remained President for 30 years. Sam is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and International Rugby Board and has previously chaired the Under 21 Committee.

Professional Background

Sam was articled to Herbert Shibko of Athan Morgan & Shibko of Cardiff for 5 years before joining Alwyn John of Aberdare and later returning to Athan Morgan & Shiblko, where he became a partner in 1961. In 1965, Sam became a partner at Myer Cohen & Co, before leaving in the early 1970s to become a partner at Russell Jenkins & Simon. Sam later established the firm of Simon North & Nam in 1985, where he remained until 1992 when he set up a partnership with his son Paul under the name of Simon & Simon. In 2003, Sam joined Thomas Simon's predecessor practice, Thomas Graham and was transferred to Thomas Simon in 2007.
